UP RERA directs promoters to use QR

UP RERA provides a unique QR code with every project registered with it. They provide QR so allottees or prospect investors can get authentic information quickly with a click. Such as completion date, Proposed date to start the project, project’s real name, land documents, approved layouts and maps, specifications and amenities, bank accounts, promoters, co-promoters, registered agents, quarterly progress report (Q.P.R), O.C. or C.C., other requisite and NOCs.

However, UP RERA authority observed that only some buyers or investors are aware of these features provided by RERA, and they rely solely on the information provided by the promoters. Some promoters misguide their investors and buyers with manipulative advertisements.

They show things in a tricky way and trap the investors. When investors invest in such projects, they get trapped because those things are not available there, and even if they are available, there are some terms and conditions favouring the promoters.

Keeping all this in mind, Sanjay Bhoosreddy (chairman) of UP-RERA said, "We have assigned each project a unique QR code and required promoters to include this on all documents distributed to the allottees, as well as on all promotions and advertisements, to ensure that the consumer can easily obtain accurate and comprehensive information about the project and the promoter."

To make sure all the necessary and authentic information reaches the consumer. UP RERA makes it mandatory for all promoters to place the QR code provided with all the documents shared with the allottees, such as the booking forms, allotment letters, BBAs, and all the advertisements and promotions of the project.
