Agra Canal Road To Be Widen, MoU is expected to be signed between Haryana and UP Goverment
Great news is coming up for people living in Noida and Faridabad. The UP and Haryana governments have put up a plan to widen the Agra Canal Road that connects Kalindi Kunj with Noida and Faridabad. 50,000 commuters use the road's two lanes, which currently span 30 km, on a daily basis.
People will find it easier to reach their destinations in Faridabad and Noida with the new plan to widen the road, as it will eliminate the hour-long jams. Users primarily encounter traffic congestion on Kalindi Kunj, Khedipul, and Palla. They often have to wait for hours to travel even short distances.
I want to share my personal experience. I work in Noida and come from Faridabad Sector 31, which is only 20 km away. The total travel time it takes me to cover this distance is 35 minutes, but due to the immense traffic congestion, it takes me approx. 2 hours, or sometimes 2.5 hours.
I must endure the severe pollution, which also wastes my valuable time. This problem is not unique to me; it affects everyone who travels between these regions.
It is expected the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments to sign an agreement to commence the work in January 2024. The Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) has already finished all the preparations for the project. Once we sign the agreement, we will conduct a survey and initiate the widening.
We expect this project to improve the traffic situation and make travel faster and safer for everyone.
