Discover The New Route From Kalindi Kunj To Noida Airport
The route from Kalindi Kunj in Delhi to Noida Airport will soon be just a 30-minute drive. This will be possible shortly. To make travel between Noida Airport, Delhi, and Haryana easier, NHAI has approved the construction of a new expressway that will run parallel to the existing Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. This new road will ease the traffic on the Noida-Greater Expressway and help over 1 million drivers reach their destinations more quickly.
The new expressway will stretch 32 km—28 km in Noida and 4 km connecting to the airport. Once it’s finished, drivers can travel to Lucknow without any stops. NHAI has completed surveys and looked into different route options, including Pusta Road. The CEO of Noida Authority said that after NHAI's approval, a company will be hired to redo the survey, create a Detailed Project Report (DPR), and start construction. This new road will benefit not just Delhi but also Haryana and several cities in Uttar Pradesh.
Currently, 10 to 15 lakh vehicles use the Noida Expressway daily, which is more than the road can handle. That’s why a new expressway is needed. The latest road will connect with the Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway near Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj. Using the Yamuna Expressway will allow traffic from places like Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Badarpur, Nehru Place, and Noida to travel directly to Agra, Aligarh, Mathura, Noida Airport, and Lucknow.
The project is expected to cost between 2,000 and 2,500 crore rupees. Both the central and state governments will share the cost. The authority can’t cover this huge expense independently due to insufficient funds. Passenger flights will start at Noida International Airport in April next year. The airport recently announced that the runway built in the first phase will be 3.9 km long and 60 meters wide.
