The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has promised to complete 50,000 flats in 17 Supertech projects in Noida over the next three years. This announcement comes after the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) asked for feedback from 27,000 homebuyers and other stakeholders.
On September 19, the NCLAT told the interim resolution professional (IRP) to pay attention to complaints from homebuyers about the projects. They need to prepare a report that includes these complaints and suggestions, which will also be shared on Supertech’s website. The NCLAT will review these submissions on October 21 and compare them with NBCC’s plans.
Homebuyers have been frustrated with the delays and have raised issues like getting possession of their flats on time, concerns about delivery guarantees, and allegations of fund misuse by former company leaders.
In a recent ruling, the NCLAT gave homebuyers in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority more time to submit their complaints. These complaints will be sent to the IRP, who will organise them for review alongside NBCC’s proposal.
The NCLAT is also looking into issues related to Supertech’s projects in Dehradun. The Bank of Baroda, a major creditor, has approved a proposal for these projects. The next hearing about the Noida projects is set for September 25.
