PMAY Gramin Housing Scheme was launched on 1 April 2016. The scheme was an initiative by the central government of India, under the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to provide financial aid to build home for underprevileged groups.

       •  Families with 0-2 rooms, kutcha walls, kutcha roof.
       •  No literate adults above 25 years in the family.
       •  No adult male member aged 16-59 years.
       •  No adult members between the ages of 16-59 years.
       •  Families with disabled members, no able-bodied members.
       •  Landless families depend on casual labor for income.
       •  Families belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Minorities.
       •  Families with poor living conditions and no permanent shelter.

Additional Qualification Needed for PMAY 2025

       •  Applicant must be a resident of India.
       •  Applicant should not have a pucca house.
       •  Applicant must be above 18 years of age.
       •  Annual income should be between Rs 3 lakh to 6 lakh.
       •  Applicant’s name must be in the Ration Card or BPL list.
       •  Applicant must be on the voter list and have an identity card.

How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin?

You cannot directly apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Apply Online?. You need go to any public service center, block officer or village head with all the mentioned documents. After that the village head will go to PMAY assistant to go further with the application process.

The online application process then follows as prescribed. 

       •  Visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
       •  On the main page, click the three pies in the menu bar.
       •  From the options, click on "Awaassoft.”
       •  A list will open, then click “Data Entry.”
       •  On the next page, select “DATA ENTRY For AWAAS.”
       •  Select your state and district, then click "Continue.”
       •  Enter your username, password, and captcha, then click "Login.”
       •  The “Beneficiary Registration Form” will open.
       •  Fill in your personal details in the first section.
       •  In the second section, fill in your bank account details.
       •  In the third section, enter details like Job Card Number and Swachh Bharat Mission Number.
       •  The fourth section is filled by the block office with additional details.
       •  After filling the form, submit it through the block or public service center.
       •  Once approved, a Sanction Order is issued with the benefits.
       •  The sanction letter is sent to your mobile number via SMS.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) Post Application Process

Verification of Application

After submitting the application for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), the Gram Panchayat, Block, and District Administration officials verify the applicant's eligibility.

They check the status based on the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 data to ensure that the applicant does not already own a pucca house or receive benefits from any other government housing scheme.

Inclusion of Name in Beneficiary List

Once the eligibility is confirmed, the names of the beneficiaries are added to the PMAY-G beneficiary list. This list is displayed at the Gram Panchayat office and also on the official portal at https://pmayg.nic.in. Applicants can also check their name online to confirm their inclusion in the list.

Release of Financial Assistance

Eligible beneficiaries receive financial assistance from the government, which is up to ?1.20 lakh for plain areas and ?1.30 lakh for hilly areas. This amount is transferred in three installments directly to the beneficiary's bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). It is necessary to link the beneficiary's bank account with Aadhaar to receive the payments smoothly.

Home Building Process

After receiving the first installment, the beneficiary must begin constructing the house within the specified time frame. The government also provides wage assistance for up to 90 days under the MGNREGA scheme to help with the construction.

The Gram Panchayat and District Administration officials regularly monitor the construction to ensure the scheme is being implemented correctly. The final installment is released when the house construction is completed.

Certificate on Completion of House Construction

Once the construction of the house is finished, the concerned authorities inspect the house. After the inspection, a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Completion Certificate is provided to the beneficiary. With this certificate, the beneficiary can officially move into their new home.

Benefits of Other Government Schemes

PMAY-G beneficiaries also get benefits from other government schemes. They receive additional support for building toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Free electricity connections are provided under the Saubhagya Yojana, and gas connections are given under the Ujjwala Yojana. These schemes improve the living standards of beneficiaries and help them live more comfortably.

After that the new page will open here you have to click, beneficiary details for verification. 

Then the new page will open. Here in the filter section write state, district, block, panchayat name and year. A chart will open with all the benifecries name on the right side.
