FNG Expressway 2024: Latest Updates, Route Map, And Future Impact On NCR Real Estate

FNG Expressway 2024: Latest Developments, Route Map, and Real Estate Implications

The Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway is a major road project that's currently being built in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India. This expressway, which is 56 kilometers long and will have six lanes (with the option to expand to eight), is designed to make travel between Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad much faster and easier. Let’s break down the latest updates, the route map, and what this project means for the future.

 

FNG Expressway Latest News 2024

As of now, the Noida section is about 70% completed, which means a lot of work has already been done. Recently, work has started on an underpass, a road that goes under another road, to help with traffic flow.

However, there are still some big tasks left, like finishing elevated sections and building a crucial bridge over the Yamuna River that will connect Noida to Faridabad. Faridabad and Ghaziabad still need more work, and officials need to get things moving according to the latest plans.

 

FNG Expressway Latest Update

A positive development is that in March 2024, authorities began working on an underpass for the expressway. Additionally, the Gati Shakti program, a national infrastructure initiative, might speed up progress on this and other projects. 

 

What is FNG Expressway Opening Date ?

It is expected to be completed within 3 years. However the proposed timeline to complete the expressway will end in 2028. So, there might be some extentions too in the given time period.

The expressway will connect Faridabad in Haryana with Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. The route is divided into three main sections. The Noida-Greater Noida section is around 20 kilometers long and starts near Sector 94 Noida, passing through several sectors before ending at Sector 168. 

This section will also have a bridge planned over the Yamuna River. The Ghaziabad section is about 8 kilometers long, connecting National Highway 34 to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The Faridabad section is the longest, stretching 28.1 kilometers from Greater Faridabad to Lalpur village.

There will also be a 700-meter bridge linking Noida and Faridabad, and an elevated road will be built in Noida. Even though the whole expressway isn’t finished, a 6-7 kilometer stretch is already open from NH 24 to Sector 117 in Noida. The Noida part is expected to be completed within 14 months, and the entire expressway should be fully operational in about three years. After the completion of this project, this Noida To Faridabad New Road will have a huge impact on 50000 commuters who travel daily between these regions and faces Traffic Jams.

 

FNG Master Plan: Connecting the NCR

The expressway is designed to improve travel within the NCR by providing a smooth, high-speed route between Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad. This will help people avoid crowded city roads and cut down on travel time. The expressway will also link up with other major roads to create a better transportation network. 

For example, the Okhla-Noida SEZ Expressway will connect the it near Noida SEZ to Aghapur. The Chilla-Okhla Expressway will connect the Okhla Bird Sanctuary to the FNG via the DND Flyway.

The FNG will also intersect with the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. These connections will make it easier for people and goods to move around North India, whether they are heading towards Delhi or other destinations like Mathura or Agra.

 

Design and Features 

FNG is designed with several features to make it efficient and safe. It will start with six lanes but can be expanded to eight lanes in the future if needed. There will be a wide median to separate traffic moving in opposite directions, which helps prevent accidents.

Paved shoulders on both sides of the expressway will be available for emergencies or breakdowns. The speed limit will likely be high, possibly over 80 km/h, to allow for faster travel. There will be multi-level interchanges and flyovers at key points to manage traffic and reduce congestion.

A good drainage system will be in place to handle rainwater and prevent flooding. Safety features like road signs, guardrails, and emergency call boxes will be scattered along the expressway for driver assistance.

 

Advantages of the FNG Expressway

The expressway will offer several benefits. It will improve connectivity to important sectors in Noida, making these areas more attractive to investors, projects such as One FNG, Splendor Onyx, Purvanchal Skyline Vista, Fairfox EON, GyGy Mentis And CRC The Flagship will witness significant boom.

People who work in Noida, Greater Noida, and Faridabad will find it easier to access residential areas. The expressway will also help reduce traffic congestion in Delhi by providing an alternative route. It will be closer to the IGI Airport and might eventually connect to the Noida International Airport or Jewar Airport.

The expressway will stimulate residential and commercial development in Faridabad and support major infrastructure projects. In Noida sector 117-123, 70 and 150 will benefit. Property values in Faridabad, especially in areas from Sector 66 to Sector 89, are expected to rise once the expressway is finished.

 

Impact Of FNG Expressway on Real Estate in the NCR

FNG is likely to have a significant impact on real estate in the NCR. Improved connectivity will make areas near the expressway more desirable, which could lead to higher property values.

Previously underdeveloped areas, like certain sectors in Noida and Faridabad, are expected to see a lot of growth. The construction of the expressway is also attracting investment in infrastructure, such as power grids and water supply systems.

This will make these areas even more attractive. With better connectivity, there will be more options for residential developments, from affordable housing to luxury apartments. Commercial hubs are also expected to grow near interchanges and key junctions, including office spaces, retail stores, and entertainment facilities. 

Developers and investors are already buying land near the expressway, anticipating future growth and potentially higher land prices. Overall, FNG is set to open up new opportunities for development and investment in the NCR region
