Direct Metro Route From Botanical Garden To Sector 142 Noida

NMRC introduces new metro route from Botanical Garden To Sector 142 Noida!
In a recent development, Noida Metro Rail Corporation has announced that the construction work for the new metro corridor in Noida will begin within 3 months. This new metro corridor was proposed in December 2023 by the NMRC and expected to get completed within 3 years.
New Metro Corridor Noida: Complete Details
• The new metro line will connect Botanical Garden to Sector 142.
• It will be an 11.56 km corridor to enhance the Delhi-Noida-Greater Noida travel.
• Construction is set to begin in 3 months.
• Final approval from the central government is pending.
• This direct link will eliminate the need for switching between lines.
• The estimated cost of the Botanical Garden-Sector 142 line is Rs 2,254 crore.
• Survey work, including soil testing, has already started along the route.
• The new line will feature eight metro stations for seamless travel.
Why did NMRC propose the New Metro Corridor in Noida?
NMRC proposed this new corridor to address the extreme inconvenience faced by commuters traveling from Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, and other parts of NCR. Currently, anyone traveling to Noida from NCR regions has to deboard at Sector 52 Noida and then travel all the way to Sector 51 Noida metro.
At Sector 51 Noida, commuters pay an extra fare before they can finally enter the Aqua Line to travel throughout the city. This process is inconvenient as it wastes time, money, and causes unnecessary stress for commuters. To make this travel process stress-free and efficient, NMRC decided to propose this new corridor.
How Much Travel Time Will It Reduce?
Currently, the commute from Botanical Garden to Sector 142 Noida takes approximately 40 minutes, with a fare of 50 rupees. The fare is high because commuters are charged 20 rupees by DMRC, and when they enter Sector 51 metro, they pay an additional 30 rupees for Noida Metro’s standard fare.
Once the new corridor becomes operational, the entire stretch will be accessible within 20 minutes, and the fare will be drastically reduced.
Which Sectors of Noida Will Benefit?
Once the metro corridor is operational, it will benefit all sectors along the Noida Expressway. Sectors 44, 94, 105, 108, 93, and 142 will experience a significant boost as they will each have their own metro station. Nearby sectors will also benefit as the stations will be easily accessible within 5 to 10 minutes.
The new corridor will reduce inconvenience while traveling by Aqua Line from neighboring cities, lowering both fares and stress for commuters.

Another Corridor’s Plan is Under Review
In addition to this corridor, NMRC is also reviewing and planning to introduce another metro corridor from Sector 51 to Knowledge Park 5. These expansions aim to enhance Noida’s overall connectivity and infrastructure.
Conclusion
The new metro corridor from Botanical Garden to Sector 142 Noida will make commuting easier and faster. It will reduce travel time from 40 minutes to just 20 minutes and lower fares.
Sectors along the Noida Expressway will benefit, with new metro stations improving connectivity. This project will make travel more convenient, saving time and money for commuters, and is expected to begin in three months, pending final approval.
