What Is EOI In Real Estate?


EOI in real estate is the best way to secure your property before it officially gets launched in the market for other end users or investors. In EOI you have to pay a small amount by cheque to the developer, so the developer will give you preference in the property when it gets ready.

 

Why is EOI important?

Suppose you really liked the appearance, locality, price and other things in the property. But when you went to purchase it, there were no investors for the property, even after trying many times and being ready to pay a good amount. You did not get it. 

To escape from such situations, EOI has introduced this method; if you like a property, you can give a cheque to the developer to hold that unit for you even before it gets launched. So when the property is ready, you will get the preference in the property and will get it in the 20/30 percent less from the market rate.

Submitting EOI in real estate has several benefits for buyers:

Early Access to Properties: An EOI lets buyers see and consider properties before they’re officially listed. This early look can give buyers an edge in getting the property they want.

No Immediate Commitment: With an EOI, buyers can show interest in a property without having to commit to buying it right away. This gives them time to evaluate the property further and make a well-informed decision.

An EOI in real estate is a way for buyers and sellers to start talks about a property, but it has some downsides:

Limited Info: Buyers might have to make an offer based on needing to learn more about the property. This means they could end up offering a place they don’t fully understand in terms of its condition, value, or any problems it might have.

Seller’s Choice: Sellers can choose to accept or reject EOIs based on their preferences. This can be frustrating for buyers because they don’t have much say in the outcome.
